30A SURF CAMP
Looking for summer fun for the kids? Check out the new 30A Surf Camp. All summer long experienced surfers will run two three-hour camps a day at two beach locations along Scenic Highway 30A, getting kids in the water, teaching them safety and helping them catch their first (or fiftieth) wave.
The classes begin May 11 and run through September 10. They will be held Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Seagrove Plaza in Seagrove Beach and the Ed Walline Regional Beach Access across from Gulf Place.
Scenic Highway 30A‘s 19-mile paved bike path (sometimes referred to the “Timpoochee Trail”) parallels the entire length of 30A and passes through all of its famous beach communities, from Dune Allen in the West to Watersound and Rosemary Beach in the East. It’s perfect for families wanting to explore the area’s rare coastal dune lakes and discovering a side of 30A that’s difficult to see from a car.
